Players have many LEGO Fortnite game modes to choose from, namely Cozy, Survival, Sandbox, and Expert. LEGO Fortnite is among the game's most popular offerings; hundreds of thousands of players log in daily. For new players, understanding the difference between the four available game modes might be difficult.

Upon entering LEGO Fortnite, you can either create a new world or enter an existing one. While creating a new one, you get to choose one of the four LEGO Fortnite Game Modes. You cannot change the game mode for that specific world later.

1) Cozy

The Cozy mode is a fusion between both Survival and Sandbox modes. It is one of the best LEGO Fortnite game modes for players looking for a relaxed experience. Almost all the settings can be adjusted at the player's convenience, including the option to have unlimited stamina and health. The default settings of Cozy Mode are as follows:

  • Enemies - On
  • Enemy Difficulty - Easy
  • Storm-Wild Enemies - Off
  • Hunger - Off
  • Temperature - Off
  • Stamina - Off
  • Player Elimination - Respawn
  • Drop Inventory Upon Elimination - Off
  • Friendly Creatures - On
  • Friendly Damage - Off
  • Villagers - On
  • Power System - Off
  • Village Animals Removed On Elimination - Off

2) Sandbox

The Sandbox mode is perfect for creative players looking for a place to build whatever they want without any limitations. You get unlimited resources and control all the settings per your preference. The Codex and Build menus have everything unlocked. This game mode's default settings are,

  • Enemies - Off
  • Enemy Difficulty - Normal
  • Storm-Wild Enemies - Off
  • Hunger - Off
  • Temperature - Off
  • Stamina - Off
  • Player Elimination - Respawn
  • Drop Inventory Upon Elimination - Off
  • Friendly Creatures - On
  • Friendly Damage - Off
  • Villagers - On
  • Power System - Off
  • Village Animals Removed On Elimination - Off

3) Survival

The Survival mode is much like the Cozy mode, except for a few limitations and slightly higher difficulty. The biggest difference is that the character gets affected by the environment's temperature and drops all the items in their inventory upon elimination. The default settings of this game mode are as follows:

  • Enemies - On
  • Enemy Difficulty - Normal
  • Storm-Wild Enemies - Off
  • Hunger - On
  • Temperature - On
  • Stamina - On
  • Player Elimination - Respawn
  • Drop Inventory Upon Elimination - On

4) Expert

Out of all the LEGO Fortnite game modes, Expert is the most difficult to master. None of the settings can be changed, and it has the most difficult enemies. Once you die, you lose all progress. The settings are as follows:

  • Enemies - On
  • Enemy Difficulty - Hard
  • Storm-Wild Enemies - On
  • Hunger - On
  • Temperature - On
  • Stamina - On
  • Player Elimination - Permanent
  • Drop Inventory Upon Elimination - On
  • Friendly Creatures - On
  • Friendly Damage - Off
  • Villagers - On
  • Power System - On
  • Village Animals Removed On Elimination - On
