“Art imitates life”: Community hilariously reacts to glitch involving the Fortnite Cybertruck that disables Nitro Fists
The Fortnite Cybertruck has been one of the most exciting additions to Chapter 5 Season 3, with Epic Games bringing this iconic real-world vehicle to the game for players to acquire for free. However, while the introduction of a free Fortnite Cybertruck has been eventful, it seems like the vehicle, much like other elements in the game, is not free from its fair share of bugs and glitches.
This is highlighted in a recent Reddit clip shared by u/Radioactive_IceCubes, where the player can be seen in a solo Zero Build match, using the Nitro Fists as they are intended, thrusting forward with immense force. However, as the player jumps into a vehicle and transforms it into the Fortnite Cybertruck, their Nitro Fists stops functioning, with the player not being able to punch or use the item at all.
The clip showcasing the bizarre glitch involving the Fortnite Cybertruck ignited a flurry of reactions from the community. Reddit user u/duckofmagic referenced the Cybertruck's rocky functionality in the real world and jokingly stated:
“Art imitates life”
However, u/dockofmagic was not the only player who drew comparisons between the buggy nature of the Fortnite Cybertruck and the IRL Tesla Cybertruck. Reddit users u/Rising-Serpent and u/victoryabonbon made similar jokes about the issues that the Cybertruck has.
Meanwhile, Reddit user u/Boomerang537 jokingly suggested that Epic Games will have to recall the Cybertruck to fix the bug, much like the real-life Tesla Cybertruck. Reddit user u/caljenks jestingly proposed that the glitch is a feature and not a bug while joking about a glitch involving the Fortnite Magneto Gloves Mythic.
What is the glitch with the Fortnite Cybertruck and the Nitro Fists?
As highlighted by the Reddit clip, the bug with the Cybertruck is definitely an ongoing problem in Chapter 5 Season 3, especially since the glitch also affects the Ship In a Bottle Mythic. Luckily, it seems like Epic Games has taken note of the glitch, with the developers taking to official Fortnite channels to reveal that they are working on a fix.
While it is not exactly clear when this fix will arrive, since the developers have already acknowledged the bug, it may get hotfixed soon, allowing players to use the Cybertruck without the hindrance of such glitches.
