"Can't stop the A-Train": Community reacts to player's strategy with Fortnite Captain America's Shield
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 has introduced a variety of new items and weapons that appropriately spice up the game's battlefield for the Marvel season. One of these new weapons is Captain America's Shield, a classic Marvel Mythic that has made its return in Chapter 5 Season 4. Captain America's Shield has been more than just another weapon as it has also been making for some classic, unforgettable gameplay moments in Absolute Doom.
This is highlighted in a recent Reddit clip shared by u/MrJoelDude, where the player can be seen in a solo Zero Build match in Chapter 5 Season 4, donning the War Machine Outfit from the Chapter 5 Season 4 Battle Pass. As the player navigated the top 40 situation, they launched out of a Flaming Boost Hoop with Captain America's Shield in hand. The player was able to spot an enemy and slide and ram into them with the Shield.
This caused the enemy to get launched off the cliff to their death. The Reddit clip ignited a flurry of reactions from the community, with u/FortniteSigmarizz referencing A-Train from The Boys and stating:
"Can't stop the A-Train"
Other members of the community had their own take on the player's display of a mix of skill and luck, with Reddit user u/YoGirlMyGlizzy further expanding on the A-Train reference and bringing up Robin. u/test4ccount01 compared the move to Hyper Charging Star, a Hyper Combo used by Captain America and U.S. Agent in Marvel vs. Capcom games.
u/L-A-G_cakeman21 couldn't help but appreciate the randomness and hilarity behind the clip. u/MilkHDisUsed, on the other hand, highlighted how the comparison with A-Train works even better due to the War Machine skin looking similar to the actor who plays A-Train.
How to get Captain America's Shield in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4?
Captain America's Shield is a Marvel Mythic that was first introduced in Chapter 1 Season 8 and it has now been brought back for Absolute Doom. Luckily for players, this weapon is relatively easy to come by as it can be found in chests and floor loot all across the Island. Additionally, the Shield can also be acquired through the Avengers Chests across the Chapter 5 Season 4 map.
