This was reflected in a recent report that said the game surpassed over 100 million monthly active users, which is a huge achievement in the gaming industry.
In a recent post on X, the popular Fortnite news and leaks account @HYPEX shared the abovementioned news with their audience. The user credited @SamLeakss and @duplagame12 for submitting this information.
The caption of the post says:
"Fortnite currently has 100M+ Monthly Active Users!!"
Numerous comments started to appear on the post by HYPEX, mostly in support of the game and its relevance. The post gained over 10,000 likes within a day of it being posted.
Moreover, many fans believe that the upcoming Fortnite OG 2 season is likely to surpass the 100 million monthly players count. It is to be noted that the first Fortnite OG season broke the record for most number of concurrent players at a time. The second Fortnite OG season is set to be released on November 2, 2024.
Fortnite surpassed over 100 million active monthly users
In the recent edition of the Unreal Fest, the presentation had a dedicated section that encouraged Unreal Engine users to utilize UEFN and make creator-made islands for Fortnite. During the presentation about UEFN, Unreal Engine's team mentioned the following reasons why people should start building islands in Fortnite:
- 100 million MAU (monthly active users)
- More than 2/3 players spend time on creator-made islands
- A great variety of tools available
This confirms that Fortnite has surpassed 100 million monthly active users worldwide. It is one of the most popular games in the world, with millions of concurrent players throughout the day.
