“Epic isn’t putting effort into Crew skins anymore”: Community reacts to Fortnite Crew skin for August 2024
Fortnite Crew has consistently provided players with cosmetics to use in their journey to secure a Victory Royale. Epic Games usually comes up with fresh ideas for creative skins that allow players to stand out from others in the title. However, as of late, some of these items have been criticized by members of the community.
This is highlighted in a recent Reddit post shared by u/SKIBO2024, who shared an image of The Operator, the Fortnite Crew skin for August 2024, while highlighting their dissatisfaction with the cosmetic's color and design:

The Reddit post became a hub of opinions, with players taking to the comments to express their own takes on the cosmetic.
u/JPrimal64 pointed out that while Crew skins are a matter of preference for each player, the Persephone Outfit, which was the Crew skin for July 2024, was better.
u/Mr_Times echoed these sentiments, highlighting the presence of other good Crew skins like Ares.
Meanwhile, Redditor u/Due-Ad4970 expressed their frustration with the fact that The Operator looks way too similar to other Fortnite Crew skins, adding to the problem of repetitive cosmetics that players have had for a while now.
u/Vegemitus pointed out their dissatisfaction with the skin and revealed that they will likely cancel their Crew membership.
When will The Operator skin be added to Fortnite Crew?
The Operator is set to be featured as the Fortnite Crew skin for August 2024. The outfit will most likely be made available for Crew members starting August 1, 2024.
Keep in mind that once The Operator is added to the Crew, the ability to acquire the previous Crew outfit, Persephone, will be removed. This will make it impossible to get the Persephone Outfit, unless it were to come to the Fortnite Item Shop down the line.
