Fortnite Joy vs Sadness is an interesting spinoff game mode inspired by the popular Crazyy Red vs Blue map. It was released by the creator @zenprit on July 5, 2024, and peaked at over 4,000 concurrent players. The theme of this map is inspired by the biggest movie of 2024, Inside Out 2. It has recently been featured in both "Fan Favorites" and "New and Top Rated" sections of the Discovery Tab.

The map code to access this is 4359-8043-37364. The username of this game mode's creator should be "zenprit" which you can find right below the game title.

To search the map, you must navigate to the search icon on the top left in the main Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 lobby and paste the map code. Make sure to add the dashes otherwise the map code will not work. After pasting the code, hit "Select" on the bottom left and wait for the game to load. You can queue in both private and public lobbies with up to twenty players. However, playing this game mode in a public lobby is highly recommended for more fun and chaos.

How to play

When the game starts, the players are equally and randomly distributed into Team Joy and Team Sadness. The spawn point has each type of weapon in the highest rarity from all the Fortnite Chapters. You can either enter the battlefield manually or use fast travel to reach farther. You get unlimited builds and stamina in the game mode. All the build in the battlefield gets reset every 6 minutes.

There's a flag point at the center of the map, which can be captured by a team when the opponent is not within a 3-meter radius. If the player can stay in the flag radius for 5 seconds, the flag raises and their team starts to gain one point every second. The team with a higher score wins. The duration of the match is 30 minutes. A total of a hundred rounds can be played before the map resets.

There is a bonus area in Fortnite Joy vs Sadness which opens after 15 minutes of playtime. It provides the player with a Bonus XP Coin and other item perks. Here are some of the weapons and items you can access after unlocking the Vault:

There are six special unlockable abilities (all costing 20 coins) that are based on Inside Out 2's personalities:

Anger's Dash - Doubles the dash damage by three times.
Disgust's 2x Health - Doubles the player's shield and health.
Sadness's Sight - Gives the player wallhack ability for 3 minutes.
Joy's Super Jump - Doubles the jump height.
Fear's Insta Reload - Reloads every weapon in 0.5 seconds.
Bing Bong's Frenzy - Doubles the weapon damage and movement speed.
