Fortnite rumor: Darth Vader and Iron Man to return, Disney working on a solution

According to the latest Fortnite rumor, it would appear that Disney is working on a potential solution to get certain characters back into the game. The information was brought to light by well-known leaker SamLeakss, who has provided accurate information about collaborations and other news over the past few seasons.

For the time being, the two characters that are reportedly being heavily focused on are Darth Vader and Iron Man. Both of them were exclusive and limited to their respective seasonal passes. While Epic Games has done away with Battle Pass exclusivity, that does not apply to these characters. Hence, it is impossible to obtain them from the Fortnite Item Shop.

This is where Disney seems to be stepping into the picture. While they cannot outright bring back the characters to Fortnite, they can make new Outfits for them. The Fortnite rumor suggests that the two characters will be making a comeback. If Disney can tactfully pull this off, more characters will follow. There are quite a few Marvel Outfits that have been permanently vaulted alongside three characters from Star Wars. Darth Vader is one of them.

Given that Disney owns the rights to all of these characters, they could potentially bring them back to the game with a few modifications. As mentioned, what was done with The Paradigm would be the best solution. However, since they were all exclusive, there might be some kickback from the community. OG players would voice their opinions about having time-limited exclusives back in the game.

While different Outfit styles would suffice, this may not please those who thought they own an exclusive cosmetic from years gone by. On the flip side, the greater part of the community will be pleased as being able to get hold of characters that were once deemed unobtainable would be a dream.

Nevertheless, keep in mind that this is still a Fortnite rumor. Epic Games and Disney are yet to make an official statement. With the next phase of the storyline about to begin, everything else will take the back seat for a while.
