How to craft Pressure Plate in LEGO Fortnite
The Pressure Plate in LEGO Fortnite is the latest toy introduced as part of the v30.40 update alongside major features such as the Battle Bus station and new vehicles. The Pressure Plate is an innovative channel control device you can use to modify the behavior of toys like the Thrusters and the Balloons based on pressure, offering you more ways to design new builds.

The Pressure Plate in LEGO Fortnite is one of the best options for customizing and toggling toys such as the recently introduced Activated Balloons. This device lets you toggle toys based on pressure feedback when you stand or step off it, allowing temporary toggling of states instead of permanent changes like the Activation Switch.
To build it, you must unlock its recipe in the codex. You can do this by crafting or collecting Blast Powder. Once unlocked, this is how you can craft a Pressure Plate:
1) Gather the materials required
To craft a Pressure Plate in LEGO Fortnite, collect 1 Wood and 1 Blast powder. You can get wood by collecting it off the ground or by using an Axe to chop down the trees.
Blast Powder can be collected by defeating the Skeleton Outlaw Slicer or Brawler mobs. They can be identified by their distinct cowboy hats and bandanas and can be found roaming around various biomes. These mobs always provide blast powder when defeated.
Additionally, after the v28.30 update that focused on fishing mechanics, you can catch a Vendetta flopper from pools or lakes. You can then process the fish in the Food Processor to obtain Blast Powder. Processing a Vendetta Fish gives you five Blast Powder and five Fish Fillets.
2) Open the build menu and craft the Pressure Plate
Once you have collected the wood and the Blast Powder, head to the Build menu using the action button and navigate to the Toys section. Now, select the Controls tab under it, scroll down to the Switches list, and select the Pressure Plate from the list.
Remember, you can place the Pressure Plate in LEGO Fortnite only on Dynamic Foundations, Dynamic Boxes, and Vehicles/Vehicle Bases. You cannot place these items on the ground or use them to modify any structures. You can use a Pressure Plate to build new machines and vehicles or customize existing ones like the Kart Racer or the Offroad Flyer in LEGO Fortnite.
