How to fast travel in LEGO Fortnite
The latest v30.40 update introduced fast travel in LEGO Fortnite, making it easier for players to explore their world's vast biomes. Fast-travel was a much-requested feature, and it was finally added through the Battle Bus station network spread across the LEGO Fortnite world. You can now fast-travel to any of your favorite destinations on the map using this new feature.
Detailing the process to successfully perform this feature, here's how you can fast travel in LEGO Fortnite.
Here are the steps to fast travel in LEGO Fortnite
You can fast travel in LEGO Fortnite using the Battle Bus station network across the island. The Battle Bus station is the latest feature introduced with the v30.40 update that lets you use a Battle Bus to transit between stations spread out across the island.
1) Head to a Battle Bus station
Head to a Battle Bus station which can be found by exploring the map. There are many stations spread all across the map in various biomes. Battle Bus stations can be recognized by their signature blue look and the pulsing blue antenna.
2) Interact with the Battle bus station map and select destination
Once you have reached a Battle Bus station, head over to the blue board on the left pillar and interact with it to open up the map. After opening the map, select your destination station and hit the 'choose destination' button.
After selecting, you will have another screen that asks you to confirm your destination and board the bus. Select the 'confirm and board' button to begin your fast travel. Once this is done, you must wait for the bus to arrive. While you wait, you can also cancel the fast travel in LEGO Fortnite using the interact button on your device.
3) Wait for the Bus to arrive and take you to your destination
After the bus arrives, you are transported to your destination after a few seconds. You will exit from a rift and then you must jump from the bus and deploy your glider, just like in Battle Royale.
You don't have to craft a glider to jump from the bus, as it is provided as part of the Battle Bus network. Remember, this glider can only be deployed when jumping from a bus after fast travel. You can craft a glider in LEGO Fortnite if you wish to use it at all times.
That sums up the process of fast travel in LEGO Fortnite. Apart from the existing stations, you can also build your own Battle Bus station in LEGO Fortnite to create fast travel stations. You can build stations near resource mines, favorite locations, or even your friend's settlement if you have shared your world by making them a key holder.
How to build a Battle Bus station in LEGO Fortnite
You can build a Battle Bus station in LEGO Fortnite by unlocking the recipe in the codex by collecting Rift Shards. Rift Shards are a new resource introduced in the v30.40 update that can be found by dismantling Battle Bus stations across all the biomes on the map.
Make sure to have an Epic Pickaxe in your inventory as that is the only tool that can be used to dismantle the stations. After unlocking the recipe and collecting the Rift Shards, this is what you will need to craft a Battle Bus station in LEGO Fortnite from your build menu:
- 4 Iron Bars
- 2 Malachite Slabs
- 6 Frostpine
- 3 Rift Shards
You can set up a network of Battle Bus stations to fast travel in LEGO Fortnite and farm tons of creative XP while doing so. These stations greatly cut short time spent in traveling and are a great alternative to vehicles.
