How to get the Signal skin in Fortnite
The Signal skin in Fortnite was first introduced in Chapter 5 Season 3 with the update v30.40 on August 14, 2024. As seen from its design, the character's head is a broken down radio. Given that the rest of the body is mechanical in nature, it's safe to assume that Signal is an android. With rust visible on the arms, it is likely that the character has been around for some time.
The splashes of orange paint on the body suggests that Signal is connected to the current season. This is due to the fact that the liquid known as Nitro is similar in color. However, this could be a mere coincidence.
Signal's in-game description reads, "Let them hear you." This is a direct reference to the character having a radio for a head and a woofer built into its chest.
Sadly, there is not much lore to go on. The only thing that can be said with absolute certainty is that this android/robot can be used while exploring new LEGO Fortnite seeds.

How to get the Signal skin in Fortnite in Fortnite Item Shop: Price, availability, and other details
As of today (August 14, 2024), the Signal skin is listed in the Fortnite Item Shop under the "Royale Originals" tab. The android/robot can be purchased via the Signal Bundle and is associated with the Wasteland Radio Set.
The Signal Bundle comprises these four cosmetic items:
- Signal (Outfit)
- Signal (LEGO Outfit)
- Signal's Booster (Back Bling)
- Wasteland Reverb (Item Wrap + Reactive)
If you are interested in obtaining all the cosmetics and items that are part of the Signal Bundle, you can purchase them at a discounted price of 1,200 V-Bucks. You cannot buy the cosmetic items and the Signal skin in Fortnite separately.
How long will the Signal skin stay in the Fortnite Item Shop?
The Signal skin in Fortnite will remain listed in the Item Shop until August 21, 2024, at 8 PM Eastern Time. These cosmetics are not exclusive and will be listed again.
