Master Chief skin in Fortnite could return after 900 days

According to the recent Fortnite leaks, the fan-favorite Master Chief skin in Fortnite is likely to return tothe item shop after almost 1,000 days. The Master Chief Bundle was a result of a collaboration between Fortnite and one of the most popular game franchises of all time, Halo. This skin was first available in the Fortnite Item Shop on December 11, 2020, during Chapter 2 Season 5, and was last seen on June 3, 2022, making it one of the rarest Fortnite skins of all time.

This leak was first reported by @HYPEX on X, which is one of the most popular Fortnite news and information providers with over 3.5 million followers. This post gained almost 8,000 likes and hundreds of comments from the community in less than an hour.

Leaks suggest the return of Master Chief skin in Fortnite Item Shop

The leak suggests that the information of Master Chief has been updated in the Fortnite game files. This most likely suggests that it is set to return in the game, and there could be a possible new selectable style as well. Although the caption doesn't mention what exactly has been updated, it most likely refers to some newly updated art assets related to the Master Chief Bundle. The caption reads:

"MASTER CHIEF HAS BEEN UPDATED TO RETURN AFTER 1,000 DAYS"

The Master Chief skin in Fortnite is part of the Master Chief Bundle, which consists of the following items:

Master Chief (Outfit + Selectable Style)
Battle Legend (Back Bling)
Gravity Hammer (Pickaxe)
UNSC Pelican (Glider)
Lil' Warthog (Traversal Emote)

The complete Master Chief Bundle costs 2,600 V-bucks when listed in the item shop, while the Master Chief skin as a standalone item costs 1,500 V-bucks. The price of these cosmetic items is very unlikely to change when they return.

Another post by the same leaker suggests that Master Chief skin in Fortnite is set to return during Chapter 6 Season 1, on December 23, 2024, just two days before Christmas. Do note that these are pure speculations, and Epic Games has not confirmed this date themselves.
