Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is almost here, and with the early reveal at Disney's D23 event, Epic Games has started dropping teasers for the upcoming season. The newest teaser gives players a glimpse of one of the upcoming map changes in the form of The Raft POI. This new location is set to arrive in Chapter 5 Season 4 and could be important in the upcoming Marvel season.

The Raft is a highly secure prison from Marvel comics, responsible for holding some of the most notorious villains in the Marvel universe. The location was first teased in the Absolute Doom trailer for Chapter 5 Season 4, with Doctor Doom breaking in to find and recruit Mysterio, the iconic Spider-Man villain.

Where will The Raft POI be in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4?

The teaser for The Raft POI was shared by the official Marvel Games social media channels. Although it does not feature many details about the upcoming Raft POI, the trailer does clue players in on its location on the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 map. From its surroundings, it can be deduced that The Raft will replace the Pleasant Piazza POI on the Chapter 5 map.

This has been further pointed out by prominent Fortnite personality @FNChiefAko on X. This means that, as hinted at by the map teaser released for Chapter 5 Season 4, Epic Games will make changes to previously unchanged areas of the Chapter 5 map.

What makes the introduction of the Raft a lot more intriguing is that the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 trailer suggested that Doctor Doom has broken Mysterio out of the Raft. This could open the doors for other villains contained within The Raft to escape in the future and join the game's already expansive library of Marvel characters through the Fortnite Item Shop.

With the Latveria teaser released previously and now The Raft, it is clear that Epic Games is going all out to build hype for the upcoming season. Players will have a chance to fully explore The Raft when Chapter 5 Season 4 releases on August 16, 2024.
