Fortnite Deadpool & Wolverine collaboration could be in the works, actors spotted with content creator
In a new turn of events, it seems Epic Games might be gearing up for a Fortnite Deadpool & Wolverine collaboration. The collaboration, if it happens, will potentially bring characters from the third upcoming Deadpool movie 'Deadpool & Wolverine'. The film will mark the Merc with the Mouth's debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when it releases in theatres worldwide on July 26, 2024.
Speculations regarding the Fortnite Deadpool & Wolverine collaboration arose recently as stars of the film, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, were spotted with Trymacs, a German Fortnite content creator and streamer.
This does not come as a surprise since the game has enjoyed multiple crossovers with the Marvel Universe, including the recent Wastelander Magneto collaboration and other versions of Deadpool and Wolverine.
What can players expect from a potential Fortnite Deadpool & Wolverine collaboration?
While the Fortnite Deadpool & Wolverine collaboration is by no means confirmed, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds being spotted with a Fortnite content creator so close to the release of the highly-anticipated installment in the Deadpool franchise has strengthened rumors. Additionally, in the image shared by Trymacs, all three of them can be seen in front of a television screen running Fortnite with an account using the Deadpool Outfit, further adding to the hints.
This begs the question of what cosmetics and content players can expect to see in a potential Fortnite Deadpool x Wolverine collaboration. Getting the obvious out of the way, it could bring new variants for both the Deadpool skin and the Wolverine skin. While players were recently treated to the Weapon X Outfit alongside Wastelander Magneto, the potential collaboration could add Wolverine's look from the movie, an aspect which has been gaining acclaim from fans.
As for Deadpool, it is not clear how Epic Games can put a twist on the Merc with a Mouth's appearance. This is due to the existing Deadpool Outfit being more or less the same as the character's look in Deadpool & Wolverine.
With the recent hint, fans will be hoping to see a Fortnite Deadpool & Wolverine collaboration come to fruition so they can celebrate the titular characters' debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in-game.
