Fortnite leak suggests K-Pop group NewJeans collaboration coming in January 2025
According to the latest Fortnite leak, the South Korean girl group, NewJeans will be collaborating with Epic Games in January. The information comes from Jorge_Most_ who had previously suggested that the collaboration was slated for December. It would appear that things may have been delayed and eventually postponed to January 14, 2025.
That said, the new information provided by Jorge_Most_ was also re-shared by veteran leakers HYPEX and ShiinaBR. Given their immaculate track record, we believe there is truth behind this leak.
While this may seem like another long shot, Fortnite Festival Season 6 ends on January 14, 2025, at 12 AM ET. This lines up perfectly with the timing for the NewJeans collaboration. By all accounts, they could be the featured artist for Fortnite Festival Season 7, and here's what you could expect to see of them in-game.
Fortnite leak suggests a full-blown collaboration with NewJeans in 2025
The Fortnite leak shared by Jorge_Most_ states that the collaboration will feature Outfits for all five members (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein). Dedicated Icon Series Emotes and Festival Jam Tracks will also be added to the game as a part of the collaboration. These will likely be present in both the Item Shop and Music Pass when the collaboration kicks off.
Lastly, as mentioned before, with the collaboration date lining up perfectly with the ending of Fortnite Festival Season 6, fans will also be treated to a concert. This has also been the case for other featured artists such as Metallica and The Weeknd in previous Festival Seasons. That said, this would be the first large-scale K-pop concert and the first K-pop group to be integrated into the Fortnite Festival.
As for other aspects of this collaboration, nothing more can be said at the moment. With Fortnite Festival Season 6 just kicking off, it will be some time before Epic Games shares any information about the next featured artist or even the color scheme.
No doubt some Fortnite leaks about the same will surface throughout Chapter 2 Remix. However, the bulk of any information will likely not arrive before Chapter 6 Season 1 kicks off on December 1, 2024.
