Fortnite leaks suggest Chapter 5 to conclude with a live event

According to the latest Fortnite leaks, Chapter 5 could end with a live event. If true, this mirrors the pattern observed in Chapter 4. In fact, both phases of the storyline are also similar in terms of duration and layout. The information about the live event comes from Egyptian_Leaker and SpushFNBR.

Both Egyptian_Leaker and SpushFNBR are held in high regard in the community. They have been instrumental in sharing some of the most important leaks this year. With Egyptian_Leaker back from their hiatus, they will be more active in the months leading up to Chapter 6.

Fortnite leaks suggest upcoming live event to be related to The Device

If you are new to Fortnite, you will need a bit of context as to what "The Device" was. Back in Chapter 2 Season 2, Midas built a doomsday device that, in theory, could break The Storm. Suffice to say, things did not go according to plan, and the island ended up being flooded. Midas himself was consumed by a Loot Shark. The waterlogging persisted until the end of Chapter 2 Season 3.

Coming back to the upcoming live event, it will be a remix of The Device event, according to the latest Fortnite leaks. This is similar to when a remix of The End event (Chapter 1 Season 10) was featured in Chapter 4 Season 5.

There's a playlist that has been in the works since May 2024
It has the codename 'Quail' and has received ratings
Some tags were added today confirming that the Doomsday device is involved

Not much else is known about the live event aside from the fact that it will occur on the very last day of Fortnite Chapter OG 2. This phase of the storyline is slated to begin on November 2, 2024, which also happens to be the day in which Chapter 5 Season 4 ends. As such, everything lines up perfectly. It is currently unknown when the last day of Chapter OG 2 will be.

On an ending note, it is likely that all of this is connected to Doctor Victor Von Doom. With the leaked Fortnite voice lines giving us an insight into his mindset, the upcoming live event may be his magnum opus, whereby he rebuilds reality in his own image. Or perhaps, everything crumbles to dust, and we're reintegrated once more into a new reality.
