Fortnite leaks suggest "Industrial Town" POI will be part of Chapter 6 map
According to the latest Fortnite leaks, a POI dubbed "Industrial Town" will be present on the Chapter 6 map. The information was brought to light by leakers SpushFNBR and KPMisParrot and reshared by veteran leaker HYPEX. Returning to the leak, the name could be a placeholder since Epic Games tends to use codewords to throw leakers/data-miners off.
This has been a long-standing tradition that developers do for fun, and leakers are aware of it as well. Nevertheless, taking into account that there have been industrial-themed POIs on the map in the past, this is not too strange at all. That said, here is what players could expect to see in-game in Chapter 6.
Based on previous Fortnite leaks, "Industrial Town" POI could be Japanese-themed
While information on this upcoming "Industrial Town" POI is rather slim, we can speculate on a few things. The theme for the upcoming Season in Chapter 6 is allegedly related to Samurai and Japanese mythology. As such, the "Industrial Town" POI could be Japanese.
This would be something similar to what was featured in Chapter 4 Season 2 MEGA. The Mega City POI was a bustling metropolitan city, filled with lights, and vertical levels. It even had Vaults that players could break into.
If the leak about the theme is accurate, the "Industrial Town" POI could be something similar in nature, but more industrialized to fit in. Perhaps a cross between Mega City and Steamy Stacks is the ideation Epic Games will go for. It would look amazing, especially if the entire POI had a Japanese vibe.
Could the "Industrial Town" POI play a role in the upcoming storyline?
It is impossible to tell if this POI will play a role in the storyline, but it wouldn't be odd if it did. Throughout Fortnite's history, numerous POI have been the center of attraction when it comes to story-related content. Epic Games could follow the same pattern this time around as well.
Maybe this "Industrial Town" POI would belong to some upcoming faction, the same way how The Doggpound belongs to Snoop Dogg and the Agency.
As the days until Chapter 6's arrival get shorter, more information about upcoming locations should be revealed in more detail. Perhaps then a clearer picture will emerge about this "Industrial Town" POI and what role it could play in the grand scheme of things.
