Fortnite leaks suggest multiple game modes in development for Chapter 6

According to the latest Fortnite leaks, it seems that Epic Games is actively working on multiple new game modes, with at least nine identified in the game files. Some have basic descriptions to help identify their purpose. The information has been provided by four leakers: Egyptian_Leaker, Loolo_WRLD, Wensoing, and BeastFNCreative.

One of these modes is even Ranked, suggesting that Epic Games is taking ranked gameplay seriously. This is largely due to the positive feedback received since Ranked mode launched in 2023. Additionally, two of the new modes are related to LEGO, and based on the trajectory of the mode, it makes sense to add more gameplay options. And this is just the tip of the iceberg, with more to come.

Fortnite leaks identify at least nine different game modes in development

As mentioned earlier, there are at least nine different game modes that have some information about them in the files. While the details are basic, there are enough details to paint a small picture of what to expect from each of them.

Here is a brief rundown of these upcoming modes:

  • Codename 'Figment': OG Related game mode. Available in Build and Zero Build, all squad sizes are available.
  • Codename 'LightBunny': Mini-Battle Royale with a maximum of 50 players. Looks to be only available in Solo.
  • Codename 'Feral': 5v5 Core Mode, also has Ranked.
  • Codename 'Sprout': Lego game mode based on jobs. You can be an auditor, an accountant, and more.
  • Codename 'Rivalry': Unknown Lego game mode.
  • Codename 'Imperial': Unknown, Battle Royale Vehicles are heavily involved and it's not related to Rocket Racing. Only available in Duos, for now, will also have NPCs.
  • Codename 'SweetSpoon': Unknown LTM (Limited Time Mode)/game mode.
  • Codename 'Arnold': Possibly scrapped Open-World game mode. It has been in the works for over two years now. Supposed to have its own lobby.
  • Codename 'Sunflower': A Reload Playlist to switch between the two Reload maps every 60 minutes. It will be released next update.

As seen from the information provided, some modes are still in early development and could be scrapped if the developers are not satisfied with how things progress. This has been done in the past on several occasions. Therefore, not all of these modes are guaranteed to be released.

Furthermore, with Chapter 2 Remix lasting for less than a month, it is very unlikely that any of the aforementioned modes will be introduced this season. They are expected to be released after Chapter 6 begins. The mode codenamed 'Figment' has already been rumored to arrive during Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1. More information regarding these upcoming modes will be disclosed over time.
