Fortnite leaks suggest Reality Augments will return in Chapter 6 Season 1

According to the latest Fortnite leaks, Reality Augments may finally return in Chapter 6 Season 1. The information was brought to light by three leakers — Wensoing, Loolo_WRLD, and blortzen — who first noticed them in the game's files for v32.00. However, as per the information at hand, Reality Augments will be reintroduced differently. At the moment, it is unclear what the leakers mean by this.

Reality Augments were first introduced at the start of Chapter 4. They were extremely popular and changed the way players could approach certain challenges in terms of combat and mobility. Oddly enough, they slowly faded into obscurity for unknown reasons towards the end of Chapter 4 and have not been seen in-game since. By the looks of things, that is all about to change.

Note: This article is based on leaks and is thereby subject to change. Also, some of its aspects are speculative and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Fortnite leaks state at least five new Reality Augments are to be introduced in Chapter 6 Season 1

While the available information is still very limited, the trio has identified five unique Reality Augments that will be added to the game in v33.00. Here is the list:

  • Agile Mending
  • Headshot Hunter
  • Healthy Pouncer
  • Revelling Revealer
  • Vehicle Modifier

Judging by the naming scheme, "Agile Mending" could refer to rapid healing or HP recovery. "Headshot Hunter" could increase the damage dealt by headshots. "Healthy Pouncer" could refer to the ability of players to gain extra mobility while having full HP/health.

As for "Revelling Revealer", it would suggest an ability where players would be able to reveal an opponent's location. Lastly, "Vehicle Modifier" will likely boost a stat related to vehicles — perhaps speed or fuel conversation.

More information about these upcoming Reality Augments could surface throughout Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix. However, this leads to an interesting question of why Epic Games is not implementing them this Season when they already exist in the files.

Could Reality Augments be added later on during Chapter 2 Remix?

The answer is very much no because Fortnite leaks have stated that these new batch of Reality Augments are meant for Chapter 6 Season 1. Furthermore, with Epic Games keeping Chapter 2 Remix true to the OG experience of Chapter 2 from 2019, Reality Augments would not fit the bill.

This is why there are no interactable NPCs in Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix either. You can talk to them, but they will not sell you any services/items/weapons. They function more as characters that populate the island than anything else. On a side note, keep an eye out for Eminem's RG Minigun which will allow you to turn into a "Rap God" from Week 2 (November 7, 2024) onward.
