Fortnite leaks suggest wearable Heels in development
According to the latest Fortnite leaks, Epic Games is working on a new sub-type of wearable cosmetic known as Heels. Akin to Kicks, players will be able to use Heels on Outfits they own in-game. At the moment, it is unclear which characters this new cosmetic will be eligible for. It could just be for female skins, but then again, male skins could be able to use it as well.
The information regarding Heels comes from leakers/data-miners @BeastFNCreative and @Loolo_WRLD. It was discovered shortly after Winterfest 2024 kicked off and Mariah Carey defrosted in-game. That said, here is everything we currently know about Heels.
Fortnite leaks predict new type of Kicks coming soon
Based on the information at hand, Epic Games is working on Heels, which will be a sub-type of Kicks coming to the game. Much like Kicks, these will be wearable and could potentially make some characters higher than others. Of course, this shouldn't affect gameplay since they are purely cosmetic, but it will be entertaining to watch.
Heels could be limited to female characters for the most part, while Kicks will be available to all. That said, there is no list of compatible characters at the moment. Much like Kicks, not all characters will be able to wear them from the get-go. But perhaps in time, even the Godzilla skin in Fortnite may be able to use Heels. Anything is possible in the Metaverse.
That said, adding Heels to the list of cosmetic items available in-game will not just give players more options but allow Epic Games to collaborate with more brands. This is especially true for luxury and high-end fashion. This, again, will directly result in more business and revenue.
When could Heels be coming to Fortnite Chapter 6?
Without a timeline to go on, it can only be assumed that Heels will be coming to the game sometime in Chapter 6. Since Kicks have just been released, it will be a while before a new sub-type of wearable shoe apparel will be introduced.
At the moment, the Fortnite Item Shop is already too saturated. As such, adding an entirely new sub-type of Kicks to the game may not be the best decision. Epic Games is still working on making Kicks in Fortnite compatible with all Outfits. This itself will take time. Given these facts, Heels could only be added to the game once the compatibility for Kicks has been completed.
