Leaks suggest Fortnite OG could become a permanent mode in Chapter 6
According to the latest leaks, it would appear that Fortnite OG could become an in-game mode soon. The information was brought to light by leakers/data-miners Wensoing and Loolo_WRLD. According to Wensoing, an upcoming mode codenamed "Figment" contains the telltale signs of what could be a Fortnite OG mode in Chapter 6. The information has been re-shared by prominent leakers/data-miner such as HYPEX and ShiinaBR.
Based on what was data-mined, it has a similar loot pool to Chapter 1 Season 1, and supports 100 players per lobby. It has Solos, Duos, and Squads which also include Zero Build. It will likely support Battle Royale (Builds) as well as it was the first mode to be introduced to the game in Chapter 1 Season 1. That's not all there is to share about the leak.
Fortnite OG will reportedly become a permanent mode in Chapter 6
Based on what has been discovered, "Figment" seems to be a Core Mode and not an LTM (Limited-Time Mode). If this comes to pass, Chapter 1 Season 1 will become a permanent fixture in-game. Players will be able to revisit the origins of Fortnite and enjoy old-school graphics and gameplay mechanics.
With Epic Games announcing shared progress for Pass (Battle, Music, LEGO) holders, the mode will most definitely have gameplay XP active. There could also be Challenges/Quests added to Fortnite OG, similar to what has been done for others.

That said, there is no information suggesting that this potential Fortnite OG mode will cycle through seasons similar to what was done for Fortnite OG in 2023. Epic Games could keep things on a loop to make gameplay interesting, but that's left to be seen. It is still too early to say anything with absolute conviction.
With details regarding Chapter 6 only starting to appear, the larger picture is yet to take form and shape. Unless information regarding the Remix: The Final live event which will occur on November 30, 2024, is not made available, it is rather difficult to see what the next phase of the storyline will have in store for us. More information could unravel as the Fortnite downtime today (November 2, 2024) progresses.
