Leaks suggest Fortnite "OG" Chapter 1 to feature Ranked Zero Build/Battle Royale modes

According to the latest leak, it would seem that Fortnite "OG" Chapter 1 will feature Ranked Zero Build/Battle Royale modes. The information was brought to light by leaker itsmeleaky, and reshared by HYPEX, one of the 'big three' veteran leakers of the community.

With that being said, here is all the available information regarding the reported leak.

Fortnite "OG" Chapter 1 to have Ranked modes, surge of players expected in December

Ranked Zero Build/Battle Royale for Fortnite "OG" Chapter 1 will go live in Chapter 6, Season 1, but the timeline is unclear at the moment. The developer may want to introduce things slowly rather than at the start of the new phase of the storyline. With the total number of modes being doubled, from two to four, this would allow newcomers to try out everything that the "OG" playlist will offer at a steady pace.

However, given that a larger portion of the community has already been a part of Chapter 1 back in 2017 or Fortnite OG in 2023, introducing all modes at once wouldn't be a bad idea.

Nevertheless, this is truly a huge moment for players who enjoy competitive gameplay. The ability to play Ranked matches means better matchmaking on the whole. There are bound to be rewards as well since all Ranked modes in-game have cosmetics associated with them outside of regular XP.

It is abundantly clear that Epic Games sees a lot of potential in "OG" Chapter 1 and is willing to invest time and resources into it. This would also explain why Fortnite "OG" Chapter 1 is being made a permanent fixture in-game.

Of course, there are some concerns about the player base being split between the many modes in-game. They may seem valid, but given that there are thousands of Creative Maps out there that players frequent daily, and if the player base hasn't been affected yet, it will not be affected by the arrival of Fortnite "OG" Chapter 1.

If anything, there will be a surge of players, and having more ensures the game keeps getting the attention it needs. This allows it to be visible to a mass audience and retain its popularity for many more years to come. This does not even take into consideration the launch of Chapter 6 Season 1. It will have its own theme and storyline that many will be eager to experience.
