LEGO Fortnite fast-travel feature set to be released soon
In recent times, LEGO Fortnite has managed to become a beloved part of Fortnite's vast ecosystem, with Epic Games' collaboration with The LEGO Group bringing a survival experience that many players are enjoying. Now, it seems like Epic Games has listened to the community and is adding one of the most requested features to the game; fast travel.
Epic Games recently took to the official X account for LEGO Fortnite to reveal that the developers have been working on a fast travel feature for the game mode. According to the post, the feature will be added to the game with an update soon. The announcement comes after the release of the v30.30 update, which makes it likely that the next major update, v30.40, could bring this feature to the LEGO mode.
How LEGO Fortnite fast-travel could work in the game
In the official announcement for the fast travel feature, Epic Games also shared a short video of LEGO Minifigures of characters like Brite Bomber and Jonesy The First waiting around a station of sorts. The station seems to be equipped with a satellite and a small Rift within a container.
Given how Epic Games referred to the fast travel feature as a 'Battle Bus fast travelling' feature, it is likely that the LEGO mode receives various stations like the one featured in the announcement clip. These stations could be set up around players' LEGO Fortnite worlds and allow players to fast travel between them through the Battle Bus.
Fast travel in LEGO Fortnite has been a highly-requested feature ever since the game mode's release. This is because while LEGO Fortnite provides players with an expansive open world to explore and experiment in, it can be quite tedious to navigate the vast expanses of all the different biomes to gather materials and resources for their creations.
Now, with the Battle Bus fast travelling feature and leaks regarding rideable wildlife in the LEGO mode, players will be able to traverse their LEGO worlds more swiftly. Since this will speed up the process of gathering different materials from various biomes, players will be able to use the time they save to create something truly unique in the game mode's blocky environment.
