“Pure evil”: Fortnite community reacts to player’s camping strategy in Chapter 5 Season 3
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 has been a phase of the game that has fostered new strategies and approaches to combat, with items like the Nitro Fists and Nitro itself making for a much more chaotic experience. However, just because new strategies involving the latest weapons and items are quite viable, it doesn't mean that the old ones like camping have to die out.
This is highlighted in a recent Reddit clip shared by u/PLAYED_YT, where the player can be seen in a solo match in Chapter 5 Season 3, posted up near a Reboot Van and camping for any unsuspecting enemies using the Heavy Impact Sniper Rifle. The player was able to take out two enemies, with them eliminating one enemy clad in the Caper Outfit.
The Reddit post showcasing the camping strategy attracted a lot of attention from the Fortnite community, with Reddit user u/Bubbulz stating:
“Pure evil”
Other members of the community took to the comments to chime in on the strategy showcased in the Reddit clip, with Reddit user u/Sn0wn1ghtDream expressing how the player's playstyle is fair play since Epic Games themselves say that every playstyle is valid on the loading screens. Reddit user u/ironbattery, however, focused on the Heavy Impact Sniper rifle, the brand-new sniper introduced in Chapter 5 Season 3.
Meanwhile, Reddit user u/honey_bay jokingly stated that. if players were allowed to use the Magneto Gauntlets Mythic, then they should also be able to camp and win. The Redditor also mentioned that they always check for enemies around Reboot Vans. Reddit user u/-a-g-e-n-t couldn't help but express their appreciation for the old but viable strategy of camping.
