Rubius hints at Fortnite collaboration
The latest teaser from elrubiusOMG suggests that a Rubius Icon Series skin could be coming to Fortnite. Rubén Doblas Gundersen, better known as elrubiusOMG or El Rubius, is a popular Norwegian-Spanish YouTuber with content based around gameplay and vlogs. He is the top YouTuber in Spain and is ranked among the top 50 subscribed channels globally. El Rubius posted a 29-second video on X, wherein the silhouette of a supply llama can be seen briefly.
Icon Series skins celebrate some big names and have seen the likes of popular individuals like Travis Scott, J Balvin, Bugha, and Neymar Jr., to name a few. The Rubius Icon Series skin would be a great way to celebrate the life and achievements of the popular YouTube star and his long legacy of making engaging content.
Rubius x Fortnite Icon Series skin could be coming
El Rubius recently took to X where he posted a short 29-second clip in which the room gradually darkens and the silhouette of a supply llama can be seen for a second. The clip is taken from his latest video posted on YouTube.
While this does not confirm that an Icon Series skin is in the works, according to posts by legacy leaker @Hypex and @ShiinaBR, there is a high possibility of a Rubius Icon Series skin being introduced.
El Rubius is known for his extensive vlogs and gameplay, with several of his videos featuring Fortnite gameplay, matches, and tutorials. He even has his own creative map, where he hosted a competition in 2019. Thus, it will come as no surprise if the popular streamer gets an Icon Series skin alongside the likes of other streamers like Ninja, MrBeast, and Khaby Lame.
If Rubius comes to the game with an Icon Series skin, players can expect tons of collaborative content. Bundles featuring the skin, paired with cosmetics like Pickaxes, Back Blings, and Emotes, could be introduced to the Item Shop. It could also feature an ElRubius Cup, as seen with some of the other Icon Series skins.
The latest Icon Series skin to be featured was that of popular Canadian gamer and YouTuber NickEh30, whose outfit and styles were well-received by his fans and players alike.
However, it must be noted that this is all speculation and the Rubius may not be introduced in-game anytime soon.
