Fortnite is no stranger to unpredictable and inexplicable moments. The title constantly provides players with instances that not only make the experience memorable but also leave them scratching their heads. While some of these moments can take the wind out of a game at times, others can just be considered plain baffling.
This is highlighted in a recent Reddit post by u/sanricel, where the player shared a screenshot of a Chapter 5 Season 3 match’s kill feed that included five different players, all getting eliminated in the same way right at the start of the match. The moment left the player confused and questioning the factors that could’ve led to such a bizarre occurrence.
Additionally, the post ignited a flurry of reactions and jokes from the community, leading Redditor u/InevitablePale9964 to hilariously state:

Other members of the community also took to the comments to chime in on the possibility of what could have happened. u/Ill-Wedding6744 joked about how, due to the confusing scenario, Epic Games would likely disable the Battle Bus. u/CatMobster kept the train of jokes going, jesting about how all five players died because they forgot to pack their gliders.
On the other hand, u/LenaiaLocke provided a potential explanation for the phenomena, highlighting how the end zone for the Battle Bus might have landed near Superior Summit, causing the bots to walk to their death. Redditor u/Lowherefast suggested how the bots might have run into each other while gliding, causing them to fall to their demise.
What caused the mysterious series of eliminations in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3?
While it is difficult to pinpoint the exact cause behind the player's weird experience with the continuous eliminations, the comments under the Reddit post provide a few theories, with the Superior Summit theory being the most plausible. Superior Summit is one of the highest points of the Chapter 5 map and can be found in the eastern part of the map next to Grand Glacier.
Given how the kill feed showcased the players being eliminated from falling around 700 meters, it is entirely possible that the Battle Bus's path during the game led to this one-in-a-million scenario.
