“This is genuinely so disrespectful”: Fortnite Community reacts to Nick Eh 30 criticizing a popular UEFN map
Popular Fortnite streamer Nick Eh 30 has found himself at the center of a controversy for criticizing one of the game's most popular UEFN maps. In a recent stream, he said the Fortnite Impostor map lacks interaction and enjoyment within just a few minutes of gameplay. This led to a response from @volviik, the co-founder of Arkhad Studios, the team responsible for designing the map, who called out the streamer on social media platform X.
Fortnite Impostor was released on January 7, 2023, and remains one of the most popular creator-made maps in Fortnite with thousands of concurrent players daily. Volviik made a lengthy response post against Nick Eh 30, which has been gained much traction from the Fortnite community.
"Coming from you, I think that's just bad faith"
Volviik claims that Nick Eh 30 didn't spend enough time on the map before making a negative judgment. He further explains how the map has its own Battle Pass system, animated quests, and many more things the streamer didn't explore. He went on to express his frustration that Nick Eh 30 labeled the map boring without completing a single round.
Adding to his statement, Volviik pointed out Nick's irony that the streamer then went on to play and enjoy other maps, which, according to Fortnite Impostor's creator were even less engaging.
Numerous comments appeared on the X post within the first few hours. Many of them called out the popular Twitch streamer for being disrespectful and reacting the same way to many UEFN maps in the past. One of the comments stated,
“This is genuinely so disrespectful”
Meanwhile, a lot of people think the map creator's frustration isn't justified and he should understand that everyone has their own opinion.
Nick Eh 30 responds to the creator of Fortnite Impostor Map
Nick Eh 30 responded to the criticism within a few hours, stating that he has selflessly promoted over 75 UEFN maps on his YouTube channel. He emphasized that he was being honest with the Fortnite community and what he felt about the map as a player, not a content creator.
However, he did agree that he could have delivered the critique in a better way and apologized for the offense caused. In the end, he congratulated the map creator for the success of the Fortnite Impostor map.
Nick is one of the few Fortnite content creators to have their own Icon Series skin in the game. Check out the Fortnite Item Shop to see if it's currently available.
