What are Rift Shards in LEGO Fortnite?
Rift Shards are a new resource introduced as part of the v30.40 update in LEGO Fortnite. As the name suggests, they are shards of the iconic Rift in Fortnite. This gameplay mechanic launches players from the sky and allows them to travel long distances using their gliders.
These shards can be collected to build Battle Bus stations in LEGO Fortnite.
How to get Rift Shards in LEGO Fortnite
You can collect Rift Shards in LEGO Fortnite by dismantling and breaking down existing Battle Bus stations on your map. Battle Bus stations are one of the latest in-game additions, which came with the v30.40 update; they provide a fast-travel network across the island.
You can only dismantle a Battle Bus station by using an Epic Pickaxe. If you do not have an Epic Pickaxe, you can craft one from the crafting bench using eight Obisidian Slabs and five Frostpine Rods. Once you dismantle a Battle bus station, you get the following materials:
- 3 Rift Shards
- 2 Malachite Slabs
- 4 Iron Bars
- 6 Frostpine
You can collect these materials to build your own Battle Bus station in LEGO Fortnite.
How to build a Battle Bus station in LEGO Fortnite
Once you collect Rift Shards in LEGO Fortnite, the recipe for building Battle Bus stations will be unlocked in your codex in LEGO Fortnite. You can craft a Battle Bus station from your build menu. To do so, you will need:
- 4 Iron Bars
- 2 Malachite Slabs
- 6 Frostpine
- 3 Rift Shards
Once you collect these resources, you can place the station in any location or landmark of your choice. You can also build your own Battle Bus station network to seamlessly transit between places on the map. Additionally, you can place a bus station terminal near your friend's village. They can travel easily even if you are offline if they're a keyholder in your world.
