“You can thank the streamers”: Fortnite community reacts to player’s encounter with Superhero skin trio

Fortnite has an impressive catalog of skins and outfits for players to use in order to express themselves on the battlefield. The collection has a lot of variety, encompassing different characters so that there is something for everyone. However, some of these outfits tend to gain the label of sweaty skins more than others.

This is highlighted in a recent Reddit post shared by u/Bruh30056, where the player can be seen in a Reload match, donning the Storm Racer Outfit and waiting for the Battle Bus to launch.

The post featured a screenshot of three enemy players all wearing the all-white Backlash Outfit, leading u/Bruh30056 to comment on how so many gamers have turned to this exact combo lately.

The Reddit post ignited a flurry of reactions from the community, with u/gtgcya chiming in on the discussion and attributing the popularity of Superhero Skins like the Backlash Outfit to streamers:

Other members of the community also gave their takes on the massive amount of players using Superhero skins.

Redditor u/Chernocl expressed their strong distaste for any player using Superhero skins unless it was The Mighty Volt or Hunter Outfits. u/broflakecereal echoed these sentiments, focusing on the lack of aesthetic appeal in Superhero Skins rather than their sweaty reputation.

Meanwhile, Redditor u/DumbProfileDumbReply questioned why anyone would even use Superhero skins in Fortnite Save The World and joked about such players trying to sweat against AI-controlled enemies.

u/Remarkable_Gur6158, on the other hand, noted how the original poster was playing Reload and how this was a common sight in the mode.

While Superhero skins certainly have a less-than-stellar reputation among members of the community, it does not take away from the fact that there are some incredible combinations that can be created with these outfits.

Superhero skins, all part of the Boundless Set, were last seen in the Fortnite Item Shop on July 4, 2024. Unfortunately, they are not available for purchase as of now. However, given how they are a frequent presence in the Item Shop, it shouldn't be long before they return to the game.
