Free Fire World Series 2024 Global Finals to kick off on November 8 in Brazil
The Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2024 Global Finals is all set to be played from November 8 to 24 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. This will be the sixth edition of the World Series. The top teams from around the world will collide against each other in this mega and flagship event. Many regional qualifiers are underway, where teams are fighting to grab a spot in this tournament.
The World Series is returning to Brazil after five years. The inaugural edition of the event was held in the country in 2019. Garena, the game's publisher, has yet to announce the prize pool for this contest. A total of 18 teams from several countries will be chosen to compete in the Global Finals.
Garena announces dates for Free Fire World Series 2024 Global Finals
The two-week-long prestigious tournament is set to be played in three stages; Knockout, Point Rush, and Grand Final. Here are the format and dates of the event:
Knockout - November 8 to 17
Garena will divide 18 teams into three groups of six for the Knockout stage, which is scheduled from November 8 to 17. These groups will clash against one another in Round Robin format. The top 12 performing teams from the overall points table will grab a spot in both the Point Rush and Grand Finals stages. While the bottom six teams will face elimination from the Free Fire World Series 2024.
Point Rush - November 22 and 23
The top 12 teams from the Knockout will fight in the Point Rush to earn headstart points for the Final. This second stage will be held on November 22 and 23.
Grand Final - November 24
The Grand Final of the World Series 2024 will feature the top 12 teams from the Knockout. This mega finale will be hosted on November 24, where teams will battle it out for a huge prize pool. A total of six matches will be organized there.
In July 2024, the Free Fire World Cup was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and was played in the same format as this upcoming World Series. It also had one slot for the World Series Global Finals. Team Falcons from Thailand emerged victorious and qualified for this event.
WASK from the Middle East region has also qualified for the Free Fire World Series Global Finals after winning their regional tournament. So far, only two teams have been confirmed for the event. The remaining 16 will be named in the coming few weeks as their regional qualifiers are still underway.
