Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2025 Global Finals officially announced
Garena has officially announced the Free Fire World Series 2025 Global Finals, and the prestigious event will be held in November next year. The company also unveiled the roadmap for the 2025 season, revealing that the publisher will host several regional tournaments and two global events, including the Esports World Cup and FFWS Global Finals.
The Free Fire Esports 2024 came to an end in November 2024, with the completion of the FFWS 2024 Global Finals. Brazilian powerhouse Fluxo Esports was the undisputed champion of this tournament, which featured $1 million in prize pool. Players from around the world are now preparing for the upcoming season.
Free Fire Esports 2025 roadmap
As per the official announcement, many regional tournaments will be held in 2025. Garena will organize local tournaments in two seasons: spring and fall. The company further revealed that these local events will be conducted in Southeast Asia, Brazil, LATAM, the Middle East and Africa (MEA), and Pakistan.
The first international event of the year will be the Free Fire Esports World Cup, which was hosted for the first time in 2024. It will take place in Riyadh in July 2025, featuring the best teams from the world. The top teams from regional spring seasonal events will reach this event.
The second International event of the title will be the Free Fire World Series 2025 Global Finals, to be contested in November. Top-performing squads from around the globe will participate in this annual tournament.
In Southeast Asia, the pre-season of the FFWS SEA will be played in February and March 2025, while the FFWS SEA Spring will be played from April to June. The top squads will earn a spot in the Esports World Cup 2025. The FFWS SEA Fall will begin in August.
In Brazil, the pre-season of the FFWS Brazil will be organized in January and February 2025. The FFWS Brazil Season 2 will kick off from April to July, while Season 3 will begin in August.
The first local event in LATAM will be the EWC Qualifier, with the best teams advancing to the Esports World Cup 2025. The FFWS LATAM will run from August to October 2025, and the top-performing teams will move up to the Global Finals.
In the MEA region, the Free Fire Mid Season Clash will be the first event of the year. The FFWS MEA 2025 will take place from August to October. Garena will organize two local qualifiers in Pakistan next year, and teams from the country will fight in these local qualifiers for a spot in the international events.
