Why are Free Fire skin changers not allowed?

Like other mobile videos, Free Fire also features tons of collectibles that add to the in-game aesthetic. One such item is Free Fire gun skin that delivers the owner's firearm a stunning appearance. Moreover, unlike other battle royale titles like PUBG Mobile, FF's weapon skins enhance the firearm's stats, such as movement speed, damage output, firing rate, accuracy, and range. These attributes make Free Fire weapon skins the most desirable in-game commodity.

However, Evo gun skins aren't accessible to all players. Obtaining them requires FF Diamonds, the title's high-end currency acquired only via real money. Therefore, getting weapon skins requires you to spend real money. Because of this, many players look for ways to get these skins for free, and in this pursuit, turn to skin tools or skin changers.

Note that the developer, Garena, doesn't allow players to use skin tools in Free Fire, and this article discusses why.

Disclaimer: Free Fire is banned in India. Readers in the region are advised against playing the game. Instead, they can play Free Fire Max, an India-exclusive and legal variant.

To acquire free items in Free Fire, many players turn to third-party applications that provide them with Evo gun skins. They can be installed from the Google Play Store or other websites. However, items obtained via skin tools aren't visible to other players. They can solely be viewed by the user.

Garena has banned skin tools or skill changers in Free Fire, as they are third-party glitch files that tamper with the game file and cannot be trusted. These tools deceivingly provide gamers with free items by which the game's creators are supposed to earn money. Therefore, it's unfair to use them.

The developer has mentioned in their terms of service that using skin tools is strictly prohibited. Those found to be using them will be punished with permanent account suspension.
