Bengaluru 5s vs Goa 5s - Preview, team line-ups and prediction

Ronaldinho's Goa and Scholes’ Bengaluru go up against each other looking for their first wins

Day 3 of the Chennai leg of Premier Futsal rolls around on Sunday, the final day here before the action shifts to Goa. In the first match, we have the Bengaluru team taking on the one from Goa. With both teams not having won a match yet, they'll be looking to break their duck tonight.

Livestream and kick-off time

In the first match of the night, Bengaluru 5s will take on Goa 5s in their Group B tie. The match will be played on July 17 and will kick-off at 7 PM. Watch live streaming of Bengaluru 5s vs Goa 5s on SonyLiv. It will be played at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai.

Bengaluru have one point after their draw against Kolkata on Saturday evening. Paul Scholes will be in action once again. The Englishman had a hand in his team's goal yesterday and had a good one-on- one chance towards the end to score the winner.

Neto though was the standout player for the Bengaluru side, strong in defence and linking up play forward. Jonathan, their Indian futsaller, had an excellent game as a forward, including getting his team’s goal. A towering presence, he was able to find himself good space up ahead.

Goa were disappointing in their opening game, Ronaldinho included. He looked off the pace, disinterested even at times. There was word that he isn't fully fit and it remains to be seen if he will feature on Sunday.

Brazilian Vampeta had some good forward driving runs in the Friday game and will likely be a key man again for them. The Indian pair of Fredsan Marshall and Michael Silva is also worth keeping an eye on. The two domestic players showed good touch and flashes of brilliance in the first game and will be looking to build on that.

Prediction

Goa will look to play much better and Bengaluru will try to score more to give themselves a good chance of winning, yet it does look like we could have another draw in the offing.
