The cheapest build on the list is a 1080p gaming PC build. Here, we've paired the Ryzen 9 9950X with the AMD Radeon RX 7600 graphics processor. This GPU is comparable to the RTX 4060 and would be perfect for 1080p gaming. For the RAM and storage, we went with Teamgroup's Elite 16GB memory and Kingston's NV2 1TB SSD storage, both of which are well-suited for playing and storing titles.

The whole setup is based on the MSI Pro B650-M motherboard, which is quite future-proof and offers enough scope for upgrading. All these components are housed in the Corsair 3000D Airflow mid-tower case, which is quite big and ensures ample airflow.

2) Best high-end 1080p gaming PC build ($1,500)

For the high-end 1080p gaming build, we've slightly upgraded the specs, allowing for a more streamlined experience. We paired the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X with the AMD Radeon RX 6700XT graphics card, which should easily let you play most new titles at 1080p without any compromise in terms of quality.

We also went for the ASRock B650E, as it is a great mid-range motherboard with ample space and slots for future upgrades. Moreover, we've upped the RAM to 32 gigs and have retained the 1TB storage space in the SSD. These components fit in the NZXT H5 Flow, a mid-tower ATX case.

You'd need slightly more powerful specs for a 1440p setup. And while this build is a little more expensive than the last one, it has quite a few upgraded features. For starters, we paired the Ryzen 9 9950X with the RTX 4060 GPU, a perfect mid-range setup for 1440p gaming. Running titles at this resolution should be very easy with this build's hardware.

As for the motherboard, we've gone for one with the Gigabyte X670, as it not only performs better than anything in the B650 series but also offers more provision for upgrades. The setup is housed in the Corsair 4000D Airflow mid-tower case, which is quite roomy and has ample space for upgrades.

  • PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 GT 1000 W
  • Case: Lian Li O11D EVO RGB ATX Mid Tower Case
  • Total: $2,406.87

For most people, building a 4K gaming PC is a dream, as it can pretty much run every game there is. For this pricey setup, we've gone for the RTX 4070 Super graphics processor, which is an excellent option for playing titles at 4K. It's of course, not as fast as a 4080 or 4090, but let's be real, those GPUs will be overkill for most people.

As for the motherboard, we've gone for the X670E, which is more efficient than the Gigabyte X670. At this budget, you have a ton of PC cases to choose from, but we went with the Lian Li O11D Evo RGB, as it has a beautiful panoramic casing, along with a separate chamber for efficient cable management.

5) No-compromises build ($3600)

  • Cooler: Lian Li Galahad II Trinity SL-INF
  • PSU: Corsair RM1000x
  • Case: Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO XL ATX Full Tower Case
  • Total: $3,687.89

Now, for those of you who aren't worried about the budget and are willing to go the whole nine yards, a no-compromises build might be the one for you. We've paired the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X with the Nvidia RTX 4090. It just doesn't get any better than this, as you have one of the best processors paired with the best GPU available in today's market.

We've used the X670E motherboard for this build as well, which is an almost perfect product. With this entry, you're getting 64 gigs of RAM and 4 terabytes of SSD storage, which should suffice for many years to come. All of this is housed in the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO XL full tower case, which is large enough to store all the beefy components and still has ample room for airflow.
