Tech nerds will no doubt be immensely satisfied with the number of tweakable graphics options on display. That said, here are the ones that offer the best visuals possible without skimping out on eye candy. Players can expect a baseline performance of 60 fps at 1080p out of these settings on most setups.

  • Texture Quality: Medium
  • Texture Filtering: Ultra
  • Lighting Quality: High
  • Contact Shadows: On
  • Ambient Occlusion (AO): HBAO Full
  • Screen Space Reflections (SSR): On
  • Volumetric Lighting: Ultra
  • Sky Quality: Ultra
  • Ray Traced Reflections: Off
  • Ray Traced Ambient Occlusion (RTAO): Off
  • Ultra Ray Tracing: Off
  • Level of Detail: High
  • Strand Hair: On
  • Terrain Quality: Ultra
  • Terrain Decoration: High
  • Visual Effects: Ultra
  • Post-Processing: High

To put it simply, any settings that have been kept at High or above tend to pose a minimal loss to the average frame rate during most gameplay scenes. On the flip side, the settings that have been turned off are demanding, which makes sense in this context as they all center around raytraced solutions for lighting, ambient occlusion, reflections, and more.

Players with higher-end rigs can no doubt push the settings higher on a case-by-case basis and see where their threshold lies. One of the few outliers in this regard would be textures, as even 8 GB cards will have a tough time streaming the High and above-quality textures.
