Intel Arc B580 vs Arc A750: Which is the best budget gaming GPU?
The Intel Arc B580 was released on December 12, 2024, to take the budget graphics card market head-on. It is designed with Intel's new Battlemage architecture, which brings massive performance improvements over its predecessor, the Alchemist architecture. The Arc B580 is the direct successor to the Arc A580.
However, due to the massive performance improvements accompanying the latest generation, Intel claims the new Arc GPU can even beat the Arc A750, which has a significantly higher number of shader cores and power budget.

Both Intel Arc B580 and Arc A750 bring decent performance for 1080p gaming. However, the performance of the latter is still quite inconsistent in some titles, and it remains to be seen if the former can deliver a better result on those. Let's look at the specs of the two GPUs to get a better idea of the hardware powering them.

Judging by the specs, you would think the older Arc A750 is the better GPU since it has 40% higher shader cores and higher memory bandwidth. However, we have seen time and time again that specs don't always translate into real-world performance.

The Arc B580 was released for just $249, while the Arc A750 was originally launched at $269. However, the latter's price has come down a lot since its release two years ago, and the GPU is currently available for as low as $189.

The Arc B580 essentially costs around 32% more than the Arc A750 (currently), but it delivers 40% more performance on average. The former also has 12GB VRAM compared to 8GB in the other model.
