Performance comparison

Once again, Motorola seems to be at a loss due to the weaker chipset. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 on the OnePlus is simply faster and more efficient for gaming and daily tasks. The difference isn't all that much though, as you can get through most tasks smoothly.

The OnePlus 12 has a QHD+ display whereas the Edge 50 Ultra features an FHD+. On top of this, the OnePlus is a little bigger at 6.8" compared to 6.7" on Motorola.

Overall, both displays look stunning and do get super bright for those sunny days. OnePlus, however, takes the win here as it goes up to 4500 nits of peak brightness whereas Motorola only reaches 2800 nits. Don't get me wrong, 2800 nits is super high; it's just that on a very sunny day, OnePlus's screen would be more visible.

Choosing the best camera in this comparison is quite tricky. This is because both phones feature a triple-camera system with comparatively similar resolutions. Now, we couldn't get our hands on the Motorola phone, and neither could we find official image samples. However, OnePlus has been generous enough to provide some stunning image samples which you can check out below.

Notice the color tones on the buildings in the picture above. You can see that the image quality is super high, with the phone capturing realistic colors without oversaturation.

Even when it comes to video, OnePlus reigns supreme as it can shoot up to 8K at 24fps, compared to the max resolution of 4K/60fps on the Edge 50 Ultra.

All in all, OnePlus seems to have the better camera, whether that's in terms of photos or video. It manages to capture true color tones while maintaining the clarity of the image. Motorola Edge 50 Ultra too looks great, but it's certainly not as good as its competitor here.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra vs Oneplus 12: Final Verdict

In this Android phone comparison, we feel the Oneplus 12 is the better phone as it beats the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra in almost every aspect. The performance is better; the images clicked by it are film-like, and the display is mesmerizing. Moreover, the OnePlus 12 is also cheaper than the Edge 50 Ultra.

You can still go for the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra as it is still a great phone. It's just that OnePlus takes the win in terms of value for money.
