Nvidia GeForce Now discounted prices explained: Which tier should you get?
Nvidia is running a limited-time promotion on its GeForce Now cloud gaming subscription this summer. You can get the paid tiers of the service for just half of its original price, which makes for a superb deal. Priority access is just $4.99 for a month, which is a steal for gamers.
Let's dissect the new prices and find out whether you should buy the cheaper Priority plan or the Ultimate edition.
Nvidia GeForce Now Priority vs. Ultimate: Which is the best deal in 2024?
GeForce Now is among the leading cloud service providers, mostly thanks to the advanced RTX 40 series graphics hardware powering the systems. Moreover, it's quite affordable, with a free tier that allows gamers to play their favorite titles for an hour straight. However, the free option is riddled with ads and you don't get high-framerate support, which results in a sub-par experience.
We believe opting for the Priority or Ultimate tier is the best way to experience your games over the cloud. You get more powerful graphics hardware, much longer session times, and support for higher resolutions.
The Priority plan generally sells for $10 a month. However, right now it's available at just $5. The Ultimate tier costs $20, but is selling for $10.
Given the current prices, the Ultimate plan seems like a much better deal. For just $5 more, you get a way better experience, including framerates of up to 240 FPS and 4K resolution.
The six-month plan is the better deal if you're looking for the 4K gaming experience at a cheap price tag. The 50% discount applies to these plans too. While Priority access for six months is available at $24.99, the Ultimate plan is priced at $49.99. The much better experience is worth the extra $25.
However, once the promotion expires, you will have to choose between the two based on how much you can spend given that this is a monthly commitment.
