Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti leaks hint at featuring 16GBÂ memory
New details about the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti have been leaked, thanks to Wccftech writer Hassan Mujtaba (@hms1193 on X). Sources close to them have reportedly spilled the beans on a lot of details regarding the RTX 5070 Ti. The upcoming GPU is expected to have 16GB of memory, a decent increase over the 12GB memory of RTX 4070 Ti.
Hassan Mujtaba also suggests that the upcoming RTX 5070 Ti will be based on the GB203-300 SKU, a cut-down variant of the GB203-400 SKU. The latter is supposed to have 10752 CUDA cores, but since the RTX 5070 Ti has the cut-down variant, it will only have 8960 CUDA cores. That is still a 16% increase in CUDA cores compared to its predecessor, RTX 4070 Ti.
Also, all variants of the GB203 die are expected to have a 256-bit memory bus, which is significantly wider than its predecessor. The new GDDR7 memory combined with the wider 256-bit memory bus can deliver 1TB/s of memory bandwidth.
This new leak also suggests that the TBP, short for Total Board Power, will be 350W, a lot higher than the 285W of RTX 4070 Ti.
Kopite7kimi provides additional details on the new RTX 5070 Ti leak
The known leaker on X, @kopite7kimi, has accurately leaked many RTX GPUs in the past and has some input on this leak. This user reports that they cannot conclude whether the 350W TBP will make it to the final spec since all their latest data lists both 285W and 350W configurations.
However, kopite7kimi didn't refute any other details of his leak, which suggests it could be authentic. Nonetheless, you should still take this leak with a grain of salt. The RTX 50 series is set to debut at the CES 2025 event, which is just three weeks away as of this writing. We will hear more on this as we move closer to the event.
