Nvidia RTX 50 series lineup leaked by Zotac ahead of launch
Thanks to recent developments, we can have a good look at the first wave of Blackwell-based Nvidia RTX 50 series GPUs ahead of their supposed official introduction in January 2025. These leaks come from third-party AIB card maker Zotac, who accidentally revealed some information about the new GPUs on their official website. The leak confirms most of the previously speculated specs of the latest pixel pushers, including GDDR7 memory and up to 32 GB of VRAM.
The findings were first reported by Videocardz, who also documented previous leaks from Zotac and how the cardmaker denied the claims when interviewed.
Based on this information, it appears Team Green indeed has five Blackwell pixel pushers set for launch at CES: the RTX 5090, the 5090D (China-only variant), the 5080, the 5070 Ti, and the 5070. There is no news of the RTX 5060 and 5050 for now, but we believe they will be introduced once more chips are available.
What are the leaked specs of the RTX 50 series GPUs?
The Zotac leak has given us a bunch of details about what to expect from the upcoming RTX 50 series GPUs. Their listing includes up to GDDR7 video memory, which is not available on any commercially available gaming GPU as of late 2024. There's sufficient reason to believe the upcoming Blackwell cards will introduce them.
Moreover, the website also had the following VRAM configurations listed: 32 GB, 24 GB, 16 GB, and 12 GB. Thus, the highest-end 90-class offerings will likely be powered by 32 GB GDDR7 video memory. This is what we can definitively infer from the leak.
While there are more subsequent generalizations to be made about the 80 and 70-class SKUs, speculating their details is best avoided until more concrete details are available.
Here's what we are currently expecting:
Overall, Nvidia seems to be pushing the spec sheets hard with this upcoming Blackwell generation. It'll be interesting to see how much of an in-game improvement these specs bumps translate to.
