About AUS vs WI

The West Indies cricket team will play a bilateral series in Australia. There will be no One-Day International series, but there will be two Test matches in addition to the three T20s. The series will be held at Carrara Oval in Queensland, Adelaide Oval in Adelaide, and Perth Stadium in Perth from October 5 to December 8.

History

Over the years, these two teams have played a lot of Test cricket against each other. Their first ODI against each other was in 1930, and they've played a total of 116 since then. Australia has won 58 and lost 32 of them, with 25 Tests ending in a draw and the remaining one ending in a tie.

Despite the fact that the first T20I was played in 2008, there have only been 17 West Indies against Australia matches to date. This is the first time these two teams have met in the shortest format of the game since 2014. The Australians have won seven and lost ten of their 17 games.

Format

Two Twenty20 Internationals will be played in Australia, followed by two Test matches. On the 5th and 7th of October, the T20I will be contested at Carrara Oval in Queensland. Before moving to the extended format, the teams will take a long 52-day hiatus. The three Tests will be held on November 30th and December 8th.

Venues

Only three locations will host the AUS vs WI series. All T20Is will be played at Carrara Oval in Queensland, while the two test matches will be held at Perth Stadium in Perth and Adelaide Oval in Adelaide, respectively.
