About Ireland Women vs West Indies Women 2023

The West Indies women’s cricket team are scheduled to play against the Ireland women’s cricket team in late May 2019. The tour will consist of three Women’s Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is), taking place directly before the West Indies women’s team tours England.

This series will play a major part in the preparation for the Irish team before they take part in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier. The Irish team will also be looking forward to ensure their world ranking is maintained so that they are part of the new Women’s Championship post-2021. Following this series, they will be playing against Zimbabwe and Scotland.

The Caribbean team will be coming to the Irish soil after having a mixed bag of performance in their previous series against Pakistan where they managed to win the Twenty20 series but then lost the ODI series. After this series, they will fly for England to play three one-day internationals as part of ICC Women’s Championships.

The series will run from 26 May to 29 May 2019. The first Twenty20 International will be played at the YMCA Cricket Club in Dublin on 26 May 2019. From there on the teams will move to the Pembroke Cricket Club, which is one mile east to the YMCA Cricket Club to play the second match on 28 May 2019. The series will conclude with the third and final WT20I in YMCA Cricket Club on 29 May 2019. All the matches will be day-night(D/N) matches.
