About Women's Super Smash 2023-24
New Zealand Women's T20 2021 is the premier T20 domestic competition for women in New Zealand. A total of 6 teams participate in the tournament to win the domestic T20 champions title. The competition is spread over 65 days for 32 matches including the knockouts. The teams participating in the 2021 edition are Auckland Hearts, Canterbury Magicians, Central Hinds, Northern Brave, Otago Sparks and Wellington Blaze.
The tournament will commence on 26 November 2021 and will go in till 29 January 2022.

History
The tournament was launched in 2007 by the name ‘New Zealand Women's Twenty20 Competition’. The New Zealand Women's T20 in 2020 will be the fourteenth edition of the tournament.
The Wellington Blaze side has been the most successful franchise by a fair margin. They have lifted the trophy 6 times while the Canterbury Magicians are the next best with 4 titles. No other team has managed to win the trophy for the second time. Three other teams, Auckland Hearts, Central District Hinds and Otago Sparks have won the title once each.
Format
The league stage will follow a double round-robin format with each of the 6 teams playing against every other team in the league twice. The aforementioned 6 teams will play a total of 30 matches in the league stage from 26 November 2021 to 24 January 2022.
The two knockout games will be the preliminary Final and the Final both will be played on 27 January 2022.

The 32 matches will be played at 11 different venues in New Zealand. The venues being the Hagley Oval in Christchurch, Eden Park Outer Oval in Auckland, University of Otago Oval in Dunedin, Seddon Park in Hamilton, Basin Reserve in Wellington, McLean Park in Napier, Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui, Fitzherbert Park in Palmerston North, Queenstown Events Centre in Queenstown, Pukekura Park in New Plymouth and Cobham Oval in Whangarei.

Almost the entire squad of the White Ferns (New Zealand Women’s Cricket Team) will be present in the New Zealand Cricket Women’s Twenty20 2021 tournament.
