The Open Sud de France is an indoor tennis tournament that is also popular with the name Grand Prix de Tennis de Lyon. It is an ATP Tour 250 series where the best men's players compete in singles and doubles. The tournament is underway in Montpellier, France, from January 29, 2024, to February 4, 2024.

The 37th edition of the Open Sud de France 2024 will have 28 final players in a single draw, and 16 final teams in doubles draw. All the single matches will consist of best-of-three matches, with a tie-break in each set. Similarly, all the double matches also consist of best-of-three matches with a tie-break. The tournament winner in singles will take home $96,011 and in the doubles format, $33,349 will be awarded as the prize money.

Regarding the players' entry in the tournament then 21 players in singles and 14 teams in doubles are directly admitted in the singles category based on their ATP ranking. Four players in singles will be given entry after clearing the qualifying matches. Three singles players and two doubles teams will receive the wildcard entry. Founded in 1987, Open Sud de France is one of the four French events of the ATP 250 Series. The tournament was held annually in October at the Palais des Sports de Gerland in Lyon in 2009. However, the tournament schedule was shifted when the venue changed to Montpellier in 2010.

In 1990, the tournament fell into the category of the ATP World Series, which changed to the ATP International Series in 1998. Finally, in 2009, it belonged to the category of ATP 250 Series. The tournament is played on the indoor hard courts. Last year, the newly crowned Australian Open champion Jannik Sinner lifted the trophy in the singles category, defeating Maxime Cressy in the final by 7-6, 6-3. Robin Haase and Matwe Middelkoop were the winners in the doubles category.

Richard Gasquet has won the tournament the most number of times in the singles category. Gael Monfils and Pete Sampras have won the tournament thrice. Michael Llodra and Andy Ram hold the record for winning the most number of Open Sud de France in the doubles category.
