About BAN vs SL
In May 2022, the Sri Lanka Cricket team will go to Bangladesh for a two-Test series before returning home in May. The visitors, led by captain Dimuth Karunaratne, are keen for some positive outcomes.
History
The first-ever Test match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh was played two decades ago, in 2001. Sri Lanka Cricket Team won that Test and commenced a wonderful journey in Tests against their Asian neighbours.
In overall SL v BAN Tests, Bangladesh Cricket Team has won just one out of 22 matches, losing 17. The only Test that they won, was interestingly played in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Format
Bangladesh will play Sri Lanka in two Tests, at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong and the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. They will play a warm-up match at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan in Dhaka before that. The first Test will begin on May 11 and end on May 15. The second Test will take place from May 23 to May 27.
