LIV Golf's 2023 final roster was out on Monday, February 19. The new list comprises several new names in addition to those who are already existing golfers.

Since its inception, the Saudi-backed series has never failed to surprise people with new names. Here is a list of five golfers who moved to LIV Golf in 2023.

Sebastián Muñoz

Colombian golfer Sebastian Munoz joined LIV Golf after playing on the PGA Tour for almost a decade. He has won four professional events in his career, including one on the PGA Tour.

Munoz also competed in all four Major tournaments with the best finish at the 2022 US Open. He settled for T14 in the tournament.

Sebastian has also played in The Open Championship and the PGA Championship in 2022 and finished in T62 and T55, respectively. He reached No. 49 in the Official World Golf Rankings before joining LIV Golf.


Brendan Steele

Brendan Steele is yet another PGA Tour player who moved to LIV Golf in 2023. He joined Phil Mickelson's team to compete in the LIV Golf event.

Steele is a renowned golfer with 10 professional wins in his career. Having turned professional in 2005, Brendan earned the PGA Tour card in 2011 after winning the Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island. He won his first PGA Tour event at the Valero Texas Open in 2011.

Brendan Steele has won three PGA Tour events and has competed in all four Major tournaments. His best finish was recorded at the PGA Championship in 2022 where he finished at T9.

Steele competed in the 2023 Genesis Invitational before moving on to play in the LIV Golf event. However, he missed the cut. Steele will likely compete in the first LIV Golf of 2023 scheduled to take place this week at Riviera Maya Golf course.


Mito Pereira

Mito Pereira has accepted a million-dollar deal to join LIV Golf. Having turned professional in 2015, Pereira has competed in numerous PGA Tour tournaments. However, he never won an event on the American tour. Mito Pereira has won 10 professional tournaments, including three on Korn Ferry and seven other events.


Thomas Pieters

The biggest shock certainly came from Belgian golfer Thomas Pieters, who is the latest addition to the LIV Golf. Pieters, who ranked No. 38 in the world rankings, was highly disheartened after he was not included in the Genesis Invitational field. He even expressed his anger in a tweet and later joined LIV Golf. Thomas has joined Bubba Watson's RangeGoats GC.


Danny Lee

Kiwi golfer Danny Lee played on the PGA Tour for over a decade before signing a deal with LIV Golf in 2023. Lee has won one PGA Tour event in his career and competed in four of the Major tournaments with the least finish at the US Open in 2016.

Lee reached No. 34 in the world rankings and previously played on the Web.com tour and European Tour.
