The women's golf event at the 2024 Paris Olympics concluded with the final round on Saturday, August 10, at Le Golf National. Lydia Ko, one of the favorites for the week, emerged victorious and won the gold medal. She also became an inductee into the LPGA Tour Hall of Fame.

Several other golfers exceeded expectations with their surprising performances at the Olympics. Esther Henseleit won silver with an impressive performance, while Lin Xiyu secured the bronze medal.

According to Sports Illustrated, Esther Henseleit had odds of +8000 to win the 2024 Paris Olympics, but she surprised everyone by finishing in second place. The German golfer struggled in the first two rounds, shooting 72 and 73, but made a remarkable comeback in the final two rounds.

Henseleit carded an impressive 69 in the third round and followed it up with a final-round 66, finishing just two strokes behind winner Lydia Ko.

One of the most stunning performances at the Paris Olympics came from Bianca Pagdanganan. Her odds to win were +21000, but she outperformed them and finished in fourth place. The Filipino golfer shot rounds of 72, 69, 73, and 68, moving up nine positions in the final round to tie for fourth place.

Amy Yang's odds to win the event were +4100, but she finished in a tie for fourth place. The South Korean golfer began with a 72, followed by a 71 in the second round. She improved with a 70 in the third round and recorded her best round on the final day with a 69, jumping seven spots on the leaderboard to finish four strokes behind Lydia Ko.


#5 Ling Wei Hsu

Lin Wei Hsu also overperformed her odds at the 2024 Paris Olympics. With odds of +12000, she finished tied for eighth place. Wei Hsu started with a 74, then shot 69, carded 72 in the third round, and finished with an outstanding 68. She moved up nine spots on the leaderboard to tie for eighth place on Saturday.
