Bryson DeChambeau LIV Golf contract: How much does he earn every year?
Bryson DeChambeau has reportedly inked a whopping $125 million contract with LIV Golf. The American golfer signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Saudi Circuit when the series started its inaugural season in 2022.
LIV Golf signs players on a contract basis in addition to the prize money players earn from each tournament. As its events are no-cut tournaments, all the players in the series earn money from each tournament in accordance with their finish on the leaderboard.
As reported by several media outlets, including the New York Post, Bryson DeChambeau's contract with LIV Golf is worth around $125 million. However, the exact amount is reportedly higher, as claimed by the golfer himself.
In 2022, DeChambeau appeared on an episode of the Country Club Adjacent podcast, during which the host said he had a "$125 million smile." The former US Open winner responded, "That's a little low," hinting that he had signed a more significant contract with the Saudis. He did not reveal the exact amount and just added (via the New York Post):
“I’m not gonna say the details, I mean for what’s reported it’s somewhat close. It’s a four-and-a-half-year deal, I can definitely tell you that, and a lot of it was upfront — which is great.”
In addition to his mammoth LIV Golf contract, DeChambeau earns significantly from the competitions he features in on the tour and in other events.
According to Golf Week, his income from the last two seasons on LIV Golf exceeds $10 million. The media outlet reports that DeChambeau has earned $15,284,250 from individual events as of the end of the 2023 LIV Golf season.
