HIO 2017: Chikka leads his team to victory in Pro-Am at Hero Indian Open 2017

New Delhi, March 8, 2017: Young Indian professional S Chikkarangappa showed that he is in fine form as he led his team to a win at the Hero Indian Open 2017 Pro-Am on Wednesday morning.

Chikka said, “The Pro-Am is always fun, but it is also a chance to get to play the course one more time before the main event. I am looking forward to it on Thursday.”

Rafa Cabrera Bello, easily the most sought after foreign pro at the Pro-Am also got off to a good start by placing third, while George Coetzee carried his team to second place.

All three teams were tied at 30-under and the final placings were decided on a countback.

The results:

1. S Chikkarangappa (Pro); KK Sandhu, Milkha Singh, Manish Sanwalka;
2. George Coetzee (Pro); Kulvinder Singh, Ravi Chopra, Ateet Gaur;
3. Rafa Cabrera Bello (Pro) Sunil Sawhney, Navin Raheja, Kishore Musale.
