Dustin Johnson upbeat about form

Dustin Johnson feels he is finally recapturing some form ahead of the AT&T Byron Nelson.

Returning from a back injury, the American world number one followed up his runner-up finish at the Wells Fargo Championship with a tied for 12th at the Players.

Johnson, who has three wins this year, said he felt his game was finally nearing a level he wanted.

"I'm finally feeling like I'm starting to hit the ball where it's supposed to go and it's just repetition," he said on Wednesday.

"I mean, even leading into Wells Fargo and last week, no practice other than working at the tournaments but the last couple of days I finally feel like I've starting to swing it a little bit better, have a little more control."

The 2017 AT&T Byron Nelson will be the last at the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas, with the event moving to Trinity Forest Golf Club next year.

Johnson has four top-10 finishes in his past six starts at the tournament and said the course seemed to suit him.

"I'm starting to hit the ball a little better than I have the last couple of weeks. That's definitely a positive," he said.

"This golf course I feel like it sets up well for me and I've liked it ever since I came here.

"Greens are really good, so you can make a lot of putts if you're hitting good shots. But, yeah, I just always liked this course."
