“Fans should be paying attention" - Serena Williams' husband calls Paige Spiranac 'the real deal'
Former golfer and social media influencer Paige Spiranac has developed a successful online brand for herself post early retirement in golf. She has raked up more Instagram followers than prominent golfers such as Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.
She has not left her sporting roots behind since leaving professional golf. She regularly talks about upcoming tournaments in different sports, gives her opinion on current events in golf and always creates niche content mixing sports and entertainment.
Her posts are unique and creative. Spiranac's content has amassed a huge fan following and appreciation from all corners. Recently, Reddit co-founder and husband of tennis legend Serena Williams, Alexis Ohanian, praised her.
Ohanian recently became interested in golf and tweeted about his interaction with Spiranac. He said:
"Just had a call with Paige Spiranac - she's the real deal. Every brand trying to understand how to tell a story to the *next* generation of golf fans should be paying attention."
Paige Spiranac thanks Alexis Ohanian
Spiranac took to Twitter to thank Alexis Ohanian for his post. She replied:
"Thank you for the kind words and allowing me the space to speak so passionately about the game I love so much."
Ohanian's interest in golf seemingly appeared last month when he shared a video of Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth. He said:
"Any golfer follow me on Twitter? I've still never played a single round of golf in my life but this looks fun."
Spiranac's success has inspired Rachel Stuhlmann, who is considered to be tennis' number one influencer. The latter has professed that she wants to achieve the same level of success as Spiranac.
She said:
"Paige does her thing with golf and she’s a great person to seek inspiration from, but there’s nothing like it in tennis."
Well, it seems like Spiranac's influence and reach is growing day by day.
